October is Dyslexia Awareness month. Today, MJ staff wore red to help raise awareness and to show their support.

Mrs. Nieves' class is showing their school Jaguar pride at the conclusion of Week of Respect. Way to go Jaguars!

Showing Jaguar pride on this last day in our Week of Respect.

More of our Jaguars showing their sparkle today for National Week of Respect.

For our day today in our Week of Respect, our theme was "Let Respect Shine". To show how they can shine with respect, Mrs. Knox's class celebrated the importance of empathy. Students made friendship bracelets and drew photos about ways to show kindness, love and care. They completed a kindness bingo board and took part in a partner role play where students worked together to act out different scenarios. To conclude the activity, students went around the building and delivered little notes with encouraging stickers to the MJ staff!
Great job Jaguars!

Here are two more photos from our Ice Cream Social. Look at all those happy faces!

Last night's MJ Ice Cream Social was a HUGE hit. So many MJ families and students, including Jaguars who have moved up to middle and high school (once a Jaguar, always a Jaguar ) came out to take part in the event. We were lucky to have such a beautiful evening for the occasion. Thank you to our PTO for organizing this beloved event. Families, students and staff had a wonderful time.

Remember, tonight is our annual Ice Cream Social! Hope to see you there!!

Don't forget! Tomorrow, September 2nd is MJ's Sneak A Peek from 3:30-4:30. All families new to MJ can meet with Mr. Scheese for a brief special meeting in our cafeteria at 3:30 sharp.
Come out September 10th to MJ's Ice Cream Social!

Yesterday SBHS Seniors came back to visit Monmouth Junction School, the place where it all started for them. They were greeted by some of their past elementary teachers, (some retirees even came back out to visit), they sang the MJ School Anthem, and they took pictures together. Once a Jaguar, always a Jaguar!

Attention parents!! Please look closely at these photos from our Lost and Found box. If you see anything here that belongs to your child, please send your child down to our Lost and Found in the cafeteria to get it. Any clothing left after Friday will be donated.

Mrs. Jenne's Peer Ambassadors created lovely summer decorations for our office trees, sprucing them up and getting everyone in the summer spirit. Great work Jaguars! We have so much talent, thoughtfulness and kindness here at MJ!

Next week is Spirit Week at MJ!

Today we had a chance to welcome our newest Junction Jaguars who will be starting here in September. Excitement was had by all!
